This page explains the basics of creating an account with TradeAware and accessing your API details. If at any time you have challenges or questions when using TradeAware, you can contact support.
You can access the TradeAware application at https://tradeaware.live-eo.com/
From here select “Sign Up”. You then have the option to either create an account with email and password or use Google or Microsoft social sign on options.
If you use email and password, you will be asked to confirm your email.
To confirm, simply check your email for the confirmation email from support@live-eo.com. Note: if you can't find the email, please check your spam folder. Then select confirm email address.
This will take you to a page confirming your email has been verified.
After you join the system, you will start the onboarding flow.
You will be asked to accept the Terms of Use which you can access at any time here.
You will be brought to the onboarding flow where you can enter your account details.
You can add or change this information in your account page.
Note: You must use an EORI identifier to create due diligence statements for import and export. For domestic statements, you may use either EORI or VAT.
You can bulk import plots of land that are polygons and multi-polygons in GeoJSON format to start your assessment (Note the file size limit is 10mb). Alternatively, you can skip this stage and later draw the plots of land manually. The bulk upload option is always available.

Selecting the upload option opens your file explorer. (Note the file size limit is 10 mb)
You will then be asked to describe the commodity you are adding to the system.
Select “Apply” and your upload will start. You will see a green tick next to the upload when it is successful. Your plots will be added to the system with automatically generated names based on the country and commodity in the file.
Selecting “Done” will take you to the TradeAware landing page.
After completing sign up you will navigate to the TradeAware home page.
This shows your personal and business details and has options to edit your profile and to access developer tools.
By selecting Edit Profile, you can change your name on your personal profile, update the address of your business and add and update identifiers (EORI or VAT) for your business if you plan to create due diligence statements in EU TRACES. Once you have finished editing your information, select "save" to save it.
Note: You must use an EORI identifier to create due diligence statements for import and export. For domestic statements, you may use either EORI or VAT.
The manage account page also features "Developer Tools" for OAuth2.0 machine-to-machine client authentication. The first time you select this, you will be prompted as to whether you want to create a machine-to-machine client.
If you, select yes, this page will display the necessary client credentials for authentication:
Client ID
Client Secret

This will take you back to the login page.
You can then login with your originally selected method of login.
Visit the Login page https://tradeaware.live-eo.com/ and select the Forgot Password option.
Provide the email address associated with your account.
You will receive an email from support@live-eo.com with a link to reset your password. Note: If you don't see the email, please check your spam folder.
Follow the instructions, and set a new password.
If you plan to the use the system to submit due diligence statements to the EU TRACES system, you will need to select the option "I plan on creating due diligence statements". Selecting this will open the option to add identifiers (EORI or VAT) for your business required by the EU TRACES system. You can use the drop down to change the identifier you are adding and the plus sign to add another identifier.
You can access your account information by selecting the icon at bottom left of the screen and selecting “Manage account”
You can log out of your account by selecting the icon at the bottom left of the screen and selecting “logout”.
