TradeAware Onboarding Videos

Welcome to your TradeAware onboarding!

On this page you'll find a step-by-step guide to the TradeAware platform. We'll walk you through each feature and show you how to get the most out of it. You have access to all our training videos, as well as a more detailed technical breakdown in our user guide.

We recommend following the chapters in the order presented. Both our training videos and the user guide follow the ideal workflow within TradeAware, allowing you to build your setup step by step without missing any important elements.

Note: Not all sections may be relevant to your setup — especially Legal Entities and Workspaces. Before creating any additional legal entities or workspaces, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager. We'll be happy to guide you and make sure everything is set up correctly.

Part 1 — EUDR Context

Start here to understand the regulation your TradeAware setup is built around.

1.1 EUDR Basics & Roles / Responsibilities

Understand the core requirements of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and the roles of the main actors in scope (operators, traders, and competent authorities).

We understand how challenging it can be to keep up with regulatory changes. That's why we encourage you to follow us on our social media channels, where we share important updates on regulations and host webinars designed to support you and your team.

Stay connected with us here:

  • YouTube Channel — recordings from our latest webinars and events.

  • LinkedIn Page — keep up to date with the latest EUDR Summits we're hosting.

  • EUDR Q&A LinkedIn Group — one of the largest EUDR groups on LinkedIn, where you can ask EUDR questions to peers within your industry.

  • LiveEO Blog — articles with insight on complex EUDR topics.

1.2 EUDR Simplification Updates (May 2026)

The EUDR regulation keeps evolving over time, and we want to make sure the most recent updates are clear to you. Here you'll find a summary of the most important updates to the EUDR documentation released in May 2026.

If you'd like to go deeper on the simplifications, watch our one-hour webinar.

The documents released on May 4 by the European Commission are available here.

Part 2 — Get to Know TradeAware

Get oriented with the product before you start configuring your account.

2.1 TradeAware Overview

See how the TradeAware solution is structured end-to-end to support EUDR compliance across your supply chain.

2.2 Platform Tour

Get an orientation to the platform interface, navigation, and key features you'll use day-to-day.

You can find a detailed overview of the account creation process in our user guide, as well as a comprehensive explanation of the account settings.

Part 3 — Set Up Your Account

Configure your workspace and legal entities to match your organisation.

3.1 Workspaces Management

Learn what a Workspace is and how to create, configure, and manage one for your team.

Please note that managing multiple active workspaces on the TradeAware platform requires a multi-entity licence. In addition, each new workspace must be provisioned by your Customer Success Manager.

If a multi-workspace licence is not currently included in your contract but you're interested in enabling this feature, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager at LiveEO. We'll be happy to discuss the available options with you.

You can find a more detailed technical description of this feature in our user guide.

3.2 Multi Entities

Add and manage multiple legal entities (EORI numbers) within a single account to reflect your organisational structure.

You can find more information on this feature in our user guide.

Part 4 — Build Your Supply Chain

Connect your suppliers and bring in the plot geolocation data the platform will analyse.

4.1 Commercial Network & Supplier Invitations

Build your commercial network and invite suppliers to collaborate securely within your account.

You can find a detailed technical description in our user guide on how to connect your supply chain in the TradeAware platform.

4.2 Plot Data Collection

Introducing Plots of Land — learn how to upload geolocation data to the platform.

For more in-depth information on plot uploads and analysis troubleshooting — including file formatting requirements — please refer to the TradeAware user guide.

Part 5 — Run Your Compliance Workflow

Assess deforestation and legal risk, then submit your DDS to TRACES.

5.1 Deforestation Assessment

Deep-dive into our assessment layers — Global Forest Cover and Precision Analytics — to evaluate plots for potential deforestation risk.

This step is essential to your compliance journey, as it addresses the first requirement: demonstrating that commodities are sourced from land free of deforestation.

You can find further technical guidance on how to analyse your plots directly in the user guide.

Identify the legal documents required to demonstrate EUDR compliance and complete the in-platform Legal Questionnaire.

This step is essential to your compliance journey, as it addresses the second condition of the EUDR: demonstrating that commodities are harvested legally in the country of origin, in accordance with local laws and regulations related to land use and commodity sourcing.

You can find a detailed technical description of this process in our user guide.

5.3 CMS Risk Assessment

Learn how to request a legal risk assessment from CMS directly through the platform and track the review process.

You can find a detailed technical description of this process in our user guide.

For additional guidance on how your suppliers can best prepare their questionnaires for CMS checks, please refer to the CMS Q&A document shared by your Customer Success Manager at LiveEO.

If you are interested in integrating CMS supplier checks into your compliance journey within the TradeAware platform, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager at LiveEO. We’ll be happy to support you.

5.4 Transaction Management & DDS Submission

Create and submit Due Diligence Statements (DDS) using the Transaction Management tool, including referencing, validation, and submission steps.

You can find a more technical description of this step in our user guide.
