Switching from TRACES Acceptance to TRACES Production
By default, TradeAware is connected to the TRACES Acceptance environment (testing). This lets you create and submit test DDS without legal implications.
When you are ready to submit legally binding DDS, TradeAware can be switched to the TRACES Production environment.
Prerequisites
Your team has finished testing in Acceptance and is ready for real DDS submissions.
You understand that Production submissions are legally binding and processed by EU authorities.
How to switch to Production
Switching is currently enabled manually.
Contact Customer Support / your Customer Success Manager and request a switch from Acceptance → Production.
Once enabled, all new submissions will go to the Production TRACES endpoint.
What changes in TradeAware
TradeAware shows a clear banner on the Transactions page indicating whether you are connected to Acceptance or Production.
When submitting to Production, TradeAware displays a legal warning and a confirmation dialog before the submission is sent.
Important notes about existing transactions
To prevent accidental submission of test data into Production:
Draft transactions are kept after the switch.
Transactions that were Submitted or Errored in Acceptance are cleared after the switch.
Transactions already submitted in Acceptance cannot be submitted again in Production.
